About Me
My name is Gabriel Perreault, founder of Creations GP. Carpenter, Cabinetmaker, wood turner, occasionnal carver & metal worker. My goal here is to offer you a large selection of original and handmade products. Everything made in Montreal, QC, with new local materials and recycled stuff like skateboards. From the smallest fine jewel to the most massive furniture, I try to reduce my ecological footprint and make everything ethical.

MY APPROACH
The aesthetic of my creations is simple and refined, no frills, let the wood be beautiful in itself! As you will see, I like to add colorful touches by inlaying recycled skateboard into my works, or textures using carving gouges.

The wood species that I buy are of North American origin. (Oak, Ash, Maple, Cherry, Walnut, Beech occasionally).

As for finishing, I use hard food grade oils for all objects that will be handled frequently. For furniture, 3/3 varnish (Danish oil) or occasionally water-based varnish.
